In January 2005, Part P of the building regulations was introduced. This section of the building regs virtually made all electrical work in the home out of bounds to the DIYer. Part P pays particular attention to areas such as kitchens and Bathrooms, electrical work in these areas have to be notified to your local council. You can notify them yourselves (sometimes costing up to £300 and delaying even the most simplest of tasks), or allow your Part P registered electrician to do this for you for free!!!

All installations by MPM electrics will comply with Part P of the current building regulations.
